I'm kind of sad that people have been pulling the Splatoon quote and using it to get angry about Salmon Run being closed. It's a great interview and I hope there isn't too much backlash against the guy :(

It's wild that people are getting angry at this dude for Salmon Run being on a schedule at all. It's not like it was solely his decision, and he says in the piece that the reasoning for the closure of Salmon Run isn't even appropriate for him to say. Along with this and that stupid Cuphead gameplay clip controversy, it's been a banner week for gamers behaving like children.

I'm more worried about backlash from his employer.

Are people angry at him in particular, or at whoever did make the decision?

It really is a shit decision to decide when I can and can't play the modes I want. Splatoon 1 had me booting up the game, seeing that it's currently Splat Zones, and then turning it back off because fuck Splat Zones.

I think people are angry with the decision and he's easier to target than like, The Company, Nintendo. And like, who actually knows who is actually responsible for the decision? Is getting mad about it actually productive? Has Nintendo ever changed anything due to public pressure?
