So, I been doing a bit of streaming lately with a friend of mine (there was a lull, planning to start back up soon.)
The system we've been using is, I run OBS, and we do a discord screenshare call thing. This works pretty well for the most part; my friend can see the gameplay in realtime, and anyone watching the stream can hear us yell at each other a bunch. The issues is, I can't figure out any way to allow my friend to hear the game audio.
The closest I've come so far was using this thing Windows has called "stereo mix", which allows me to pipe all the sounds my computer is making, into discord. This allows my friend to hear the game audio... but also results in them hearing an echo of their own voice (since when they speak, it comes through my computer, then stereo mix sends it back through to them).
Is there any way around this? A different way to use stereo mix, or a different tool entirely? I've played around with a couple things like Virtual Audio Cable and Voicemeeter, but I haven't seen any way to make them do what I'm trying to do.
