Yeah that's important to remember.

My one critique of the fempire is that it can get cliquey around here and doesn't seem all that friendly, like when everyone piled on /u/greenie. I found that really scary just because I could see myself or some other person on TF getting witchhunted like that and it's really uncomfortable. I mean, discussions like that do have a place on TF over in /r/discussion, but having that flare up on dorknet was p worrisome to me because I don't want that level (or any level) of toxicity on this site.

Like, I don't feel that ingrained into the IRC and stuff and I'm concerned especially with resistance to discussion that occasionally happens that this could be a place in which I might fuck up and instead of being told why and how I'm wrong get witchhunted off the site

In the future would more effective anti-witchhunt moderation be effective? or is the problem one that can't be solved by removing the content without removing the feelings that generated it?

I think a bit of both - I was a mode of the place in which it happened and didn't remove it but in the future I think removing the content and redirecting to /r/discussion would be the best route

you should always criticise things you like and look for ways they can be made even better :)

agreed! I meant more in the sense of like, I'm not tryna indirectly say that I specifically think we're currently harboring abusers? I just didn't wanna be confusing :P

sorry for 101 questions:

What defines an abuser?

how would an abuser take advantage of a safespacey community? im just imagining a manipulative person making drama out of something and/or playing the victim, like what zoe's ex did.

rice posted this to tumblr: http://commanderfraya.tumblr.com/post/107404007204/okay-im-gonna-talk-about-a-thing-by-thing-i

I think it has some angles to consider tho I'm not saying it's all automatically correct

i literally reblogged this right after seeing this post on the femp! a lot of it struck me as accurate, in terms of what i've personally experienced in sj communities (online and off).

is there any stuff in particular in that post that you don't agree with or that seems not correct?

nope! I just didn't want someone to think I'd taken the time to digest it all when I hadn't. A bunch of it seemed very familiar to me too.
