I'm linking to three posts from the same website today because they all happen to be good posts.

so does this article actually go into what we're supposed to do? because to me it just seems like an exercise in bitterness, they recognize a lot of liberal actions are ineffectual but rather than actually think as to what they should do instead or why they're ineffectual they just quote self aggrandizing "things are always gonna be bad" philosophers and just call it a day at "things are actually shades of grey"

theres nothing to be gained from this aside from bitterness and a sense of being better than everyone else, and not even for a good reason

modern left-of-liberalism politics is 100% an exercise in bitterness

The impulse and the pressure to be good immediately and all the time is a problem. It assumes that “good” is something that people can become if only they tried harder, gave more money to charity, and exercised more; that goodness is an attainable attribute instead of a concept grounded in different religions and philosophies or a childlike way of looking at the world.

Ok virtue ethicists, it's time to pack up, a journalist has brought an end to what Socrates began. Or wait a minute: maybe she is a stoic?
