this might be a long shot, but anyone know where i can get some basic women's t-shirts that'll accomodate broad shoulders alright? by hoppetin just_ask

[–]trimalchio 5 points6 points ago

My way to deal with shoulder measurement problems is just always go for a V neckline so the shirt can extend a little more in the middle.

also, old navy does have a "tall" cut that adds shoulder as well as length to the cut. that could be a positive but i always have trouble finding t-shirts i like from old navy.

My beer boxes are always coming from Belgium out of brussels airport usually. I've done a lot of these and customs on the US side is always an issue but only because some airports start randomly deciding its illegal and sending it back.

luckily this time it's because the stuff i ordered was out of stock. well it's not lucky because it's 5 bottles of what i really wanted and now its like all meh stuff so i'm a bit annoyed. but i might get some Pate made with Oude Gueuze now too.

the worst part about this idea is that I already know how to do it.

Yeah, that sounds fine, you can reinstall things on the new drive and then copy application data over from the old drive and stuff like that.

about SSDs and wearing down; SSDs actually wear down much more linearly and fail sooner than spinning disks. SSDs only have a limited number of write/read cycles and once they've done too many they break. spinning disks tend to fail randomly anytime and can last much longer in constant use than an SSD.

For home use though; unless you're using an SSD for swap or some Cache based thing, it'll stick around for a while.

but ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR DATA!

Ah god I hate it so much when they pour the tea for you in restaurants why would they do that by oakreefin just_post

[–]trimalchio 3 points4 points ago

the way restaurants do tea in america sucks so bad that it makes anybody who actually wants tea get it from somewhere less terrible like a special tea shop or a coffee place that isn't bad.

basically; when you order tea at most american restaurants they bring you a lukewarm cup of water and like a zillion different tea bags but somehow the selection still sucks. so i think that's why most people, even big time tea drinkers, don't order tea at like 90% of restaurants.

Exceptions exist but mostly it's just specialty tea places or chinese/japanese or indian style tea to go with those foods.

but coffee or tea after a meal is a pretty fancypants thing to most ppl so it's just not something ppl do regularly.
